Account Deletion Policy

In accordance with Apple App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(v), LastEmber provides an in-app mechanism to permanently delete your account and associated data, directly from within the app — no need to visit a website or contact support.

1. How to Delete Your Account

1. Open LastEmber and go to Settings.
2. Tap Delete Account.
3. Confirm your choice in the secondary confirmation prompt.

Deletion takes effect immediately upon confirmation. There is no waiting period, and no need to first delete individual Moments or drafts.

2. What Gets Permanently Deleted

Upon confirmed account deletion, we immediately and permanently erase:

• Your Sign in with Apple identity token and any associated authentication session data
• All Moments you have published, public or private, including attached images stored in cloud storage
• All local drafts currently stored by the app on this device; LastEmber does not keep unpublished drafts in the cloud unless you choose to publish them as Moments
• Your "seen Moments" history and Resonance/Connection interaction records tied to your account identifier
• Your block list, push-token records, and any reports you submitted
• Your LastEmber subscription entitlement record stored by us for Moment Guardianship reconciliation. Your App Store subscription itself must be separately canceled via your Apple ID Account Settings if you do not wish to be billed for renewal.

We do not retain backups of this data beyond what is necessary to complete the deletion process across our systems, and we do not offer an account "recovery" window after deletion — this action cannot be undone.

3. What May Be Retained (and Why)

A small set of records may be retained after account deletion, strictly limited to what is necessary for legal, safety, or anti-abuse purposes:

None of the retained records listed above can be linked back to your deleted account's identity, content, or location data.

4. Deleting Individual Content Without Deleting Your Account

If you only want to remove a specific Moment rather than your entire account, you can delete individual Moments at any time from Ego. This does not require deleting your account, and does not affect your ability to keep using LastEmber.

5. Subscriptions

Deleting your LastEmber account does not automatically cancel an active App Store auto-renewing subscription. To stop being billed, manage or cancel your subscription separately through Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iOS device, or via Apple's official subscription management page.
